Would you consider yourself a Beginner (no previous experience on a snowboard) or Advanced Beginner (some experience on a board but having a hard time getting off lifts and linking turns). This is for our planning purposes only; you can move between groups at Zephyr Camp Snowboard with no problem as your skills develop.

The snowboard stance determines which leg or foot is placed on the front of your snowboard as you travel forward. If your left foot is forward you are “regular” and if your right foot is forward you are “goofy”. About 80% of snowboarders are regular but this doesn’t mean you are. A quick test will give you a good hint about your stance before strapping into a snowboard for the first time. Try to slide on the kitchen floor with your socks on. The foot in front normally corresponds with your forward foot on a snowboard. If you already surf, skateboard, or wakeboard, the same stance will most likely correspond. So that we can better prepare for your instruction, are you “regular” (left foot forward) or “goofy” (right foot forward)?

Backup Dates

In the case of inclement weather, we will hold a makeup day on the weekend following the scheduled camp date. If you cannot attend this makeup date, you will receive a credit for any missed days of the camp. However, you must tell us in advance if you cannot attend the makeup date. At this time, do you expect that you can attend the rain makeup date if necessary, scheduled one week after the scheduled date?
